![]() ![]() ![]() For Rattlensake I recommend PAR L Plasma and SPL M Flak since their role is mostly anti-large and even with Pulse Laser their small size and low turret count means that in sector their turrets will seldom kill ships. The high projectile speed and range combined with the huge ship size means it is likely that even S ships will get hit fairly regularly and so die quite quickly. They are likely intended as anti S but due to aiming issues they are not effective in this role and pose little threat to S ships in sector.įor Raptors I recommend Pulse Laser. Due to splash damage and in sector double-dipping damage they are very effective against M, L, XL and station targets. ![]() Only issue is that Flak probably is not used for the role one thinks it should be. The X series, by nature, is a sandbox, allowing the player the freedom to interact the world in almost anyway an AI would be able to, this includes transporting goods, piracy, and even picking sides in wars.Flak are a total disaster, extremely weak and misses way too much.įlak is technically the second highest damage turret, and potentially better than Plasma. The game plays strongly on the gimmick of "start with nothing and build up," where most of the in game starting scenarios give the player very minimal, usually a small or medium ship at best, and set the player out on the grand goal of forging their own fortune in the vast and violent arena that is space. It is up to the player to either align themselves or harass these other factions in order to advance themselves. ![]() The game centers around a large and dynamic system of sectors, most of which are occupied and owned by one of a number of factions, each having there own goals and ambitions.
